Luke and Laura have trained together for more than 15 years, reaching
the Senior level in ice dancing -- the highest rank of the sport. As dual citizens of the United States and
Mexico, they have skated in both countries and represented Mexico in international competition. They three-time World
Chapionship competitors and first international alternate ice dance team for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games.
To compete at this level, Luke and Laura committed themselves to
a disciplined training program both on and off the ice. They trained under world renowed ice dance coach, Muriel
Zazoui in Lyon, France, and United States Gold Medalist Renee Roca in California.
Previous coaches include Sergei Ponomarenko and Marina Klimova, Olympic
Gold Medalists, as well as their first ice dance coach, Peter Sasmore, and pairs coach Tracy Prussack -- each of whom have
worked with Luke and Laura as they built their technical skills and defined the artistry of their skating.
